The #OmNoireGlowup 2017 Reading List

In case you've missed the beautiful Instagram shots, one of my #BestOf2017 was traveling to Grenada for the first OmNoire Glow Up Wellness Retreat.

One of the many themes throughout the weekend was the importance of self-improvement, centering our thoughts and becoming crazy intentional about the lives we wished to create.

Life coach Lashell Wooten (@Lashellwooten), Retreat founders Christina Rice and Amber Grimes and country ambassador extraordinaire Kered Clement (@Keredclement) shared powerful testimonies along with actionable steps to make things happen in our own lives. A key tool? Reading. Reading is that thing we know we should make time to do, but it so easily falls to the wayside (we always have time to scroll the IG feed tho, no?).

The Wellness weekend, however,  proved that the right book has the power to alter the trajectory of your life. They can remind us to dig deeper to persevere, illustrate hope, endless possibilities, and better connect us to our passions. They can also push us to drop dead weight. Whew. 

Women shared some of their favorite "Glow-Up" selections while on the trip, and the list is so good, I had to share here. ;) One attendee, Halleemah Nash, authored her own devotional, and it's now my absolute favorite way to start my day (She's also a proud Howard University Graduate. *HUGE SMILE*)! The list compiled for reference:

So, setting a clear intention for the New Year, I will incorporate more reading and writing, often (daily). Follow across social media - accountability and all. I glow, you glow, we glow... together. ;)
